Ryan Thom

At the time of the 2008 summer program, Ryan was a PrideSpeak facilitator delivering workshops on anti-homophobia and youth violence in local schools. He was also part of an ecoMentors program which delivers information on environmental sustainability to primary school audiences. He's a piano teacher and volunteers as a classroom assistant for children with Aspergers Syndrome. He believes that conflict stems from an intolerance of diversity and that when given a chance, everyone can make a difference. Ryan thinks that Peace it Together offered an amazing opportunity to make his voice heard and to hear the voices of those he might not otherwise have met.
