Synopsis
Sulaiman Khatib tells of how the separation wall encroached on his family’s land, challenging his convictions about peace building between Palestinians and Israelis.
Sulaiman's emotional testimony illustrates why talking about the wall and other realities of the occupation is an uncomfortable but necessary part of peace building. Sulaiman Khatib is a Palestinian peace activist, and co-founder of both Combatants for Peace and the People's Peace Fund. Footage taken from Peace it Together's Struggling with Peace symposium in February 2013.
Produced by Peace it Together, created by filmmaker/facilitator Tim Hall, animation by Paul Thompson, original music composed and produced by Mark Fenster of Autumn Studios, Vancouver (www.AutumnStudios.ca), flute film motif performed by Holly Burke (www.HollyBurke.com).
